 Incorporated in 1894 and now known as the "Hub of the Pascack Valley", Westwood offers 2.3 square miles of affordable homes, a family atmosphere, and a thriving business district with old-fashioned lampposts and a vast array of specialty shops and cafes.
The district school system includes four primary schools and Westwood Regional Junior-Senior High School (Washington Township, NJ). Excellent rail and bus service facilitates the commute to midtown Manhattan, approximately 30 miles away.
For outdoor enthusiasts there are seven borough-owned parks and the lush, 78 acre Pascack Brook County Park, which together offer fishing ponds, wooded walking trails, tennis and basketball courts Little League and softball fields, playgrounds and picnic areas. Summer recreation programs include arts and crafts, field trips and swimming once a week.
